I have tried more mascaras than years I have lived and only a handful have ever wowed me. I first tried the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara around 18 months ago after purchasing it on a trip to Orlando and fell in love. When it dried up (around 6 months after buying it – I used it til the bitter end) I completely forgot how much I loved it and didn’t even think to purchase a new one. That was until I visited my local Debenhams a few weeks ago after finding the empty, dry-as-a-bone tube of mascara in an old make up bag, reminding me of how much I loved it. WHAT. A. MASCARA.
The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is an absolute dream. The wand is quite chunky and unlike anything I’ve ever really seen. It kind of chunks out at the ends and makes coating those inner and outer corner lashes for easier to get. The colour is the blackest black – a big plus for my ginger eyelashes – and as someone with partially hooded eyes whose eyelashes wrap around their brow bone – there is no rub-off onto the skin on either the top or bottom lashes.
This mascara gives real volume and length and doesn’t flake nor feel too crispy. You can barely feel it’s on but at the same time it doesn’t feel when you touch it like it’s still wet or too waxy which is something I’ve felt with other mascaras. It coats every lash and doesn’t clump at all.
And THAT PACKAGING. I love metallic packaging and this matte metallic pink is so beautiful. It’s quite heavy but it makes it feel so expensive and so luxurious. I think that Too Faced have it so right with packaging and this mascara is no exception.
Have you tried this mascara? If not, I would so recommend it. It’s currently only £17.10 in Debenhams which for such a beauty is an absolute bargain!
