Well hello there! How are you? I am Steph if you hadn’t already figured that out. I used to blog over at www.stephsinsidevoice.com. It was a blog I started after my first year of uni; a place where I could showcase my love for fashion and beauty and meet likeminded individuals to share tips and tricks and hauls and tutorials.
After blogging for a couple years I totally lost interest. As uni passed and a full time job loomed, the desire to blow all my money on makeup lessened and the false picture of always-perfect-makeup-and-nails was one I no longer felt desperate to pursue.
I’m not at all saying my previous blogging life was a lie, but in the niche I had put myself in there was an expectation to portray a perfectly painted life and I’ve come to realise that that is something I don’t really like. Who really has perfect hair 24/7 and who doesn’t struggle to get that perfect winged eyeliner?!
It’s over the past few months that I’ve been inspired to start all over again, painting the real picture of my life, yet still having the creative platform to share my interests with whoever wants to read. I can’t wait to get blogging again and by not creating a niche for myself I hope that I can create content that makes me feel fulfilled and allows me to develop my own interests, not solely focussing on the hits and trends.
I’ve changed a lot since I was 19.
I want to be able to share the sides of me displayed below. There are many more than the one with the “perfect” make up and during the times of my previous blog that may have gone a bit unnoticed. Here I am. A northern gal that swears way too much, regrets every hair cut I have and has a chin that looks like Buzz Lightyear’s from certain angles.
Here goes nothing!
